HealthStar Physicians held a grand opening ribbon cutting for its new industrial medicine clinic in West Morristown Thursday morning.
The facility which is located at 6232 W. Andrew Johnson Highway will provide a variety of services for those in the area, including urgent care and primary care for patients.
Hamblen County Mayor Bill Brittain is excited for the care that will be provided to citizens in the area because of the new clinic.
“Folks will ask me how things are going in Hamblen County and I tell them that we have a lot going on,” Brittain said. “Not only in the government where we have Morristown Landing ready to open at any time, the new Justice Center getting built and the Health Department moving to its new facility soon.”
“However, we also stay busy with the growth of business and industry. One sector that gets overlooked is our healthcare sector and we shouldn’t because of the major growth we have seen in this sector over the past two years and what is coming.”
“I want to congratulate you all for opening this facility and look forward to the services you all will provide to our citizens.”
CEO of HealthStar Physicians Mickey Brabson looks forward to offering individual care to patients.
“We look forward to serving each and every one of you and our goal is to trying to customize our services to your needs,” said Brabson.
HealthStar Physicians Board President Eric Delay provided a brief insight on the history of HealthStar.
“HealthStar has been providing services in the area for over 25 years and we aim to provide exceptional, cutting edge care,” Delay said. “We believe that this industrial clinic will be the next step in providing that care.”
“In the last couple of years we have really changed how we consume things and healthcare is no different. We are very proud to be one of the first groups to offer Telehealth and focused on online registration for urgent care and this is the next step so we can provide a different way to consume industrial healthcare.”
Delay then gave a description on the purpose of the facility and the services offered.
“We want this to be a one stop shop,” Delay said. “We want this to provide exceptional, expedited care. Where you can come in and do your pre appointment physicals, pre appointment testing or when you get hurt or sick we want to take care of those acute things while also taking care of chronic problems.”
“There will be an urgent care, which on this side of the county is needed. We will be doing primary care and if needed we would be honored to be there for you.”
David Blankenship, director of Industrial Medicine, is thankful for the new facility and explained HealthStar’s goal for the site.
“We want to thank everyone who made this possible, because it has taken a village to make this a reality,” David said. “I also like to remind you all that HealthStar Physicians have been serving the industrial community since 1995 and were looking forward to having this first standalone site to administer to the industrial services that are provided on this end.”
Blankenship further explained the services provided at the new industrial clinic.
“We can offer so many services whether that is for basic injuries or workman’s comp and we have a new X-ray facility as well as a lab. We can also see people for Department of Transportation physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, or spirometry and that is just some of the many services we provide.”
“We also welcome the opportunity to be able not only in the industry but those beyond the industry and look forward to serving the Lakeway Area.”
The ribbon cutting was hosted by the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce.
