The Morristown Parks and Recreation is gearing up to celebrate
The fun begins on March 22 with its Easter Egg Scramble, a self-paced “scavenger hunt” challenge.
The challenge begins Wednesday and continues throughout the week with the hunt concluding with a prize drawing at its annual Easter Eggsellent Adventure.
Those interested in participating can pick up clue cards at the parks and recreation office or find them on its website.
Participants will follow the clues to various parks in the city to find the answers to the questions.
Once the cards are completed, they can be returned to the office before Tuesday, April 4th or at Fred Miller Park Event Registration during the Easter Eggsellent Adventure by 6 p.m.
All correctly completed clue cards will be added to a drawing for prizes. This is a fun adventure that will challenge skills while enjoying the parks.
The return of the Easter Eggsellent Adventure will take place at Fred Miller Park on April 4th at 5 p.m.
This year will include an Easter Village, egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Village will have local businesses and organizations setting booths around the park to give out goodies for the children who attend.
There will be three separate egg hunts for children ages 5-10 throughout the event. The first will begin at 6 p.m. for ages 5-6, the second at 6:30 p.m. for ages 7-8 and the last will begin at 7 p.m. for ages 9-10.
There will be no egg hunt for children ages 2-4, they will receive, eggs and prizes at the Easter Village.
All children are encouraged to bring a basket to collect their eggs and goodies.
Registration will begin at 5 p.m.; there will be no early registration this year. Upon arrival to the adventure, children will register for the hunt and receive a card that is color coordinated for their age and egg hunt time.
The Easter Bunny will be set up throughout the event to greet children and offer parents a pose with children for photos. Please call Morristown Parks & Recreation at 423-586-0260 for more information.
