East Morris Boulevard to close at rail crossing

East Morris Boulevard will be completely blocked for two to three days starting Monday, April 3rd at the railroad crossing on the extreme eastern end of the road.

Norfolk Southern will be taking the roadway out at the rail crossing and reinstalling it.

There will be message boards in place to warn drivers and a detour will be in place at Jaybird Road and Orbit Electric Drive

Drivers are urged to take caution if traveling through that area and to pay attention to the detour signs and workers.

TDOT & Jefferson City partner to host 11E Corridor study meeting

The Tennessee Department of Transportation in partnership with Jefferson City is hosting a public meeting to receive public input on the US 11E Corridor Study.

The public meeting will be held on Thursday, April 6th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers at 112 City Center Drive, Jefferson City.

The public meeting will be an open house with the opportunity to give feedback accompanied by a formal presentation which begins at 6:15 p.m..

The purpose of this public information meeting is to present potential options for improving US 11E and explain how these options will be refined moving forward. TDOT is asking for meaningful input from the public and stakeholders.

The purpose of the US 11E Corridor Study is to improve the overall safety, traffic flow, and operations for all modes of transportation along US 11E within the Jefferson City boundary.

The study area includes US 11E from West Andrew Johnson Highway to East Andrew Johnson Highway and SR 92 from US 11E to George Avenue.
