Rose Center Bravo Awards Applications Now Available

Rose Center Council for the Arts will recognize outstanding young talent in the Lakeway Area with the 10th Annual Bravo Awards.
The Bravo Awards culminates in an awards ceremony and banquet honoring students who have excelled in visual and performing arts. The application for the 2023 Rose Center Bravo Awards is now available online.
The deadline for entries is March 17 at 5 p.m.
This contest is open to any student in grades 9 – 12 in the Lakeway Area who have achieved excellence in visual and performing arts. Students in public, private, and home schools are welcome to apply. Students must be a resident of Hamblen, Jefferson, Cocke, Claiborne, Hancock, or Grainger counties. Awards will be selected from the entries by a panel of judges from Rose Center’s Artists Advisory Council. In addition to submitting artwork, students must also submit an artist’s statement, as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor.
Students may submit up to two pieces in the Visual or Performing Arts categories. Each category has a 1st place prize of $500, 2nd place prize of $250, and 3rd place prize of a $100. All materials, including the artist’s statement and letter, are required for the application to be complete, and all play a role in the selection of awards.
The program will conclude with an awards banquet for a limited number of finalists on Thursday, April 13. The winners will be announced that evening and given their prizes. Finalists will be contacted by Rose Center to make a reservation for the dinner.
