A North Carolina man is facing charges in connection with a 2020 incident in Hamblen County.

Damian Allen Costner, 28, of Morganton, North Carolina, was charged April 2, 2020, with solicitation of a minor to observe sexual content.

Costner is accused of sending a 12-year-old female 12 images of his genitalia via social media.

The incidents reportedly occurred in March of 2020.

In the report provided by the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, Dep. Donnie Davis interviewed the mother of the juvenile girl, who found a nude photo that had been sent to her daughter’s phone through a social media application.

The mother brought the phone to the HCSO and gave it to Det. Joshua Sipe to download the evidence.

According to reports from North Carolina, Costner was arrested Feb. 9 in Newton, North Carolina on the felony warrant from Hamblen County.

At that time, he was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility on a $100,000 bond.

After posting bond, Costner was arrested again Feb. 22 and extradited to Hamblen County.

He is set for a Sessions Court date in Hamblen County at 9 a.m., March 20.
