Sharon Madonna Walker of Morristown, TN passed away on April 21, 2023 at Life Care Center of Morristown after a long illness.

Sharon was born on April 19, 1949, in Mobile, Alabama to Lawrence Reeves and Mildred Hadaway Reeves. She held various positions throughout her life. She performed office work and was a teacher’s aide in a special education classroom. She was also a cake decorator before her career with Wal Mart where she retired. She enjoyed her work and made many friends. The position she was most proud of was being a pastor’s wife. She married Charles Edward Walker in 1969 and in 1973 he became a licensed minister with the Church of God, headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee. She stood beside him in ministry and was a faithful companion until his death in 2021. Sharon was also a talented artist, singer and musician. She used her musical talents to glorify God whenever she was given the opportunity.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Charles Walker; father, Lawrence Reeves Sr.; mother, Jewel (Mildred) Hadaway Reeves; and daughter, Kimberly Walker.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Walker Jr. (Sherri) of Tavares, FL, Kelly Walker (Kim) of Perry, FL, Kevin Walker (Kari) of Rogersville, TN; sister, Ava Carpenter (Ray) of Texas; brother, Lawrence “Larry” Reeves Jr. (Melissa) of North Carolina ; grandchildren, John Walker (Makenzie), Kimberly Walker(Daniel), Zach Walker (Faith), TJ Walker, Caleb Walker, Jacob Walker, Daniel Merry; great granddaughter, Zayden Merry; and great grandson Oliver Walker and numerous loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville, Tn. with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Charles Walker Jr. officiating. Graveside service will follow immediately in Highland Cemetery, Rogersville, TN.
