All Saints Episcopal School’s first-grade class, led by Mrs. Santana, recently enjoyed a fun and educational field trip to the Colgate facility in Morristown, Tennessee.

The students were given an opportunity to learn about the manufacturing process of toothpaste through hands-on experience.

“It was a pleasure to host All Saints Episcopal School 1st graders in our Colgate facility,” Fabiana Santeliz with Colgate said. “We have a strong focus on engagement around our local community and always enjoy time spent during these events. All Saints spent the morning with us, where they learned what goes into making Colgate toothpaste through first-hand experience. They were able to make their own toothpaste and see how our equipment can fill and package the toothpaste, with the guidelines of our expert employees.

“Colgate takes great pride in our community and loves being able to bring awareness to manufacturing with events like this.”

The first graders had a memorable experience, as they made their own toothpaste and witnessed the manufacturing process firsthand. This field trip was a valuable opportunity for the students to learn about the local community and the importance of manufacturing. “Watching my first-grade students explore and learn firsthand at the Colgate facility was an amazing experience.” Said Mrs. Santana, adding “I am so grateful for this opportunity to bring the real world into our classroom and inspire my students to be curious and engaged learners. It was truly a day full of smiles, wonder, and excitement for all of us.”

All Saints Episcopal School prides itself on providing its students with engaging and hands-on learning experiences. As stated on their website, “At All Saints Episcopal School, our approach to education is centered on creating a learning environment that nurtures each student’s spiritual, intellectual, and social growth.” This field trip to the Colgate facility is an excellent example of how the school is fulfilling this mission.
