Happy Easter to Trojan Nation

Happy Easter! We hope everyone has enjoyed their extra long weekend! EOC(End of Course) testing will begin soon; Apr. 20 and Apr. 27 will both be virtual days for students who are not testing. Students who are testing will still need to attend this day.

First, we would like to start by congratulating the following students for being selected to perform in this year’s Morristown-West Talent Show: Jacob Bass, Drew Anderson, Analena DiTullio, Megan Schang, Wilber Torres, Joseph Parrott, Samantha Bowser, Gabriella Adams, and Jenna Bertrand. We look forward to seeing their amazing performances being showcased.

The Talent Show will take place on Friday, Apr. 21, during 3rd period; all contestants will have the chance to win cash prizes up to $100. There are three more available spots open in our show and we will be hosting a second round of auditions during TNN this Wednesday, Apr. 12. Singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, poets, magicians, and any other special talent is welcome! If you have a talent that you would like to show off, contact Ms. Cobb or Mrs. Story to sign up! The Talent Show will be performed live in the auditorium twice; students will have the opportunity to purchase a $2 ticket for one of the shows depending on their lunch times.

Congratulations to FBLA students who competed this past week in Chattanooga, TN. The students attended business conferences, competed, and toured the city. Congratulations to Lauren Gray for winning the Dr. Bill Ratliff scholarship. Kudos to Tania Roque Castro, Kaila Evans, Isabella Swanton, Lauren Gray, and Charlie Fitzgerald for placing top eight in the state for events of advertising, business communications, hospitality management, and journalism.

Way to go Astron yearbook staff for placing first place in American Scholastic Press Association, outstanding senior section, and superior yearbook award!

Senior Cap and Gown portraits will be taken this Tuesday, Apr. 11, in the auditorium from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, all Seniors will report to the auditorium during TNN(10:54 – 11:39) on Thursday, Apr. 13, for a graduation meeting; information regarding the graduation ceremony and practice, tickets for graduation, parking, cap decorations, and other important information. Students who are typically off-campus during this time are advised to attend this meeting as well. They will need to sign in and out through the main office; we recommend arriving a few minutes early.

The Executive Council meeting for this Monday, Apr. 10, has been postponed to Apr. 24, which will be the last Executive Council meeting of the year.
