Pearl Rose Delias
Pearl Rose Delias, 89, of Morristown, passed away on April 25, 2023.
She was born on January 22, 1934 to the late Charles and Maude Clapper in Orlando, Florida. In 1961, she moved to Morristown, TN where she was a member of Buffalo Trail Baptist Church.
Pearl was a strong, loving, fiercely loyal woman devoted to her family. Widowed at 29 with three young children, she worked hard to provide for her family alone. Every year, she loved to grow a large garden and can vegetables to eat. She always remembered her family’s birthdays and made an effort to make them feel special.
She is preceded in death by her husband Curtis O. Delias, who served two tours in Korea with the United States Air Force; her brother Stewart Clapper; daughter Julia D. Blackburn; grandson Dustin S. Blackburn; and close family friend Albert Brown.
She is survived by her beloved children: daughter Sharon A. Fielden and son Curtis O. Delias Jr. (Esmi). She was proud of her grandchildren Chris M. Fielden (Krystal), Stephanie L. Nixon, Rachel McClanahan (Jeff), and Tiffany Delias. Her face always lit up to see her great-grandchildren Hayley McClanahan, Jacob McClanahan, Gage Fielden, Christen Fielden (Jesse), Samantha Blackburn, Hunter Blackburn, Paxton Fielden, River Fielden, and Billy Fielden. Her great-great grandchildren Haizlee and Alice Floyd brought joy to the last few years of her life. Whether you knew her as Mom, Grandma, Mammaw, Nana, or Miss Pat, she was a loving and considerate matriarch who will be greatly missed.
Her family is especially grateful for those who provided her with loving, full time care for the past several months: Sharon Fielden, Stephanie Nixon, Christn Fielden, Megan Clark, Gracie Bustos, and the hospice team.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday April 27th at Mayes Mortuary in Morristown, TN. Graveside services will be on Friday April 28th at Hamblen Memorial Gardens at 9:30 a.m.
Arrangements by Mayes Mortuary.
