It was standing room only at 1907 Brewing Company Tuesday evening as the Girls Inc. of Hamblen County hosted Downtown Taste of Morristown, a preview to its’ Big Taste of Morristown event being held April 13 at Walters State.
The festivities began at 4:30 and the space was quickly filled as friends greeted one another and gathered to enjoy an ice-cold beer along with the delicious spread of food options put together by a variety of local food vendors.
This preview event gave individuals a chance to see what they have to look forward to at the upcoming Big Taste.
Girls Inc. has been hosting these tasting events for 26 years with favorite local food vendors from all around Morristown participating. Proceeds raised help fund the Girls Inc. summer day camp program.
Girls Inc. Community Development Manager, Lauren Stipes, was the key ingredient in heading up this special preview.
“The Downtown Taste of Morristown is always a fun pre-party to the Big Taste at Walters State. This event allows us to really socialize with people who care about our mission to inspire and raise up the future generation of women, tell them more about what we’re doing to get girls ready for the real world, and of course, have fun,” Stipes said. “The Downtown Taste of Morristown would not be successful without our food partners. A special thank you to Jersey Girl Catering, Little Dutch, Timeless Elegance Tea Room, Jacked Up Bagels, 60 Beans and Lady B’s Homemade Goods. Lastly, a thank you to our generous hosts, 1907 Brewing Company. Leslie, Kris, Brandon, David and their team are always wonderful to work with for any event and we can’t wait to see what future partnerships might be in store.”
Tickets to the Big Taste can still be purchased.
