Sue G. Long

Sue G. Long, age 85 of Bean Station, passed away peacefully at Ridgeview Terrace of Life Care in Rutledge on Sunday, April 16, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She retired from First People’s Bank and then worked part time as an agriculture survey specialist for both crops and livestock in multiple East TN counties. Sue was an active member of Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she served the church and community as a District Lay Leader for many years. She enjoyed helping the ladies at Mary’s Chapel make and sell apple butter.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Long; parents, Ruble Goan and Ora Mae Collins; and brother, William “Billy” Goan PFC.

She is survived by her daughters, Allicia White and Sharron (Bill) Loy; grandsons, Joey White, Dylan (Ashlyn) Loy, and Aaron (MacKenna) Loy; brother, Jimmy (Jean) Goan; brothers and sisters-in-laws; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family will hold a private burial at Heath’s Chapel Cemetery in Bean Station. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Long family.
