James C. Kinley Jr., age 75, of Bulls Gap, passed away on March 30, 2023 at The Heritage Center in Morristown.

JC enjoyed working for the Town of Bulls Gap and the people in the community. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Kinley Sr. and Ruth G. Kinley; father-in-law, James R Gray: mother-in-law, Velma Ruth Walker; granddaughter, Whitney Lynn Kinley; son-in-law, Ricky Lee Allen; sisters, Mary Evelyn Kinley, Shirley Irene Kinley; brother-in-law, Manuel Christian.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy L. Kinley; sons, Brian E. (Veda) Davis and James W. (Melinda) Kinley; daughter, Sherry D. Allen; grandchildren, Lacy C. Allen, Joshua L. Allen, Brianna M. Helton, Veda Marie Pisano, Kelly M. Snell, Jaclyn D. Wolfe, Marylynn M. Belcher; sisters, Ama Nell Vincent and Anne Christian; brother, Terry G. Kinley; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family of JC wishes to extend their sincere thanks to The Heritage Center and Amedysis Hospice for all the care shown during this time.

The family received friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 7:00 pm with Rev. Eddie Gray officiating. Graveside services will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Long and Berry Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service is asked to please meet at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.

Pallbearers will be Jarrell Moore, Josh Allen, John Falkner, Seth Wolfe, Brian Fobber, and Jeremy Fobber.
