Nominations are now being taken to honor and acknowledge the people who have made an impact on Morristown and beyond.
The application period is now open for this year’s Trojan Army Hall of Fame Class.
The deadline for the application is June 30, and the Hall of Fame ceremony will be conducted in the fall.
To be nominated, a candidate must display high standards of sportsmanship, ethical conduct and moral character. Inductees will be elected by a majority vote of the Trojan Army Hall of Fame Committee and will be judged on their significant contributions to the school in their specific field.
Three fields are considered: athlete/student, teachers and coaches and contributors.
Athletes/students must have graduated at least 10 years prior to nomination and must have graduated from Morristown West.
Inductees in this field will have distinguished themselves in the field of academics or athletics following graduation from Morristown West; this could be by providing instruction and support to the school or by achieving national or regional recognition.
Teachers and coaches must have had five years of service to the school and have accumulated 15 years of teaching or coaching experience.
Contributors are individuals who have supported the school in significant ways.
The nomination form is available on the Morristown-Hamblen High School West website. Click on the “Social” tab and select Alumni. Click the Hall of Fame Nomination Form link to access the form, which can be submitted online.
