Hannah Jo Pinkston Peeler, age 88 years, born January 30, 1935, in Bulls Gap, TN, passed to our heavenly father on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Atria Weston Place, Knoxville, TN.

Hannah graduated from Greenville Business College and was employed Mysinger-Tweed Law and later TVA. She was a member of Bulls Gap United Methodist Church where she served many roles, Bulls Gap Lions Club, VFW Auxiliary, and America Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by husband, John Peeler; parents, Talmage and Nannie Pinkston; sisters, Joyce Weaver and Linda Williams; nephews, Chris Williams and Jason Carter.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Creger and Barbara Disney; son-in-law, Frank Disney, and former son-in-law, Brian Creger; grandchildren, Lindsey Disney (Luis Demaria), Megan Disney (Leila Mesdour), Johanna Theobald (Carl), and Jonathan Creger; great-grandchildren, Frida Demaria, Clara Demaria, Isadora Demaria, and Carson Theobald; sister, Tommye Carter (John); brothers-in-law CL Weaver, Bob Williams, and Johnny Mac Carter; special nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Atria Weston Place’s staff for the amazing care and love they have given Hannah and our family for the last 6.5 years. Thanks also to Caris Hospice for the care provided in Hannah’s last weeks.

The family will hold a graveside service at McCullough-Tieke Cemetery, Bulls Gap, TN, on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm. The family asks if you plan on attending the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery by 12:45 pm.The cemetery is located on McCullough Cemetary Rd, in Bulls Gap,TN 37711. In lieu of flowers at the memorial, donations can be made to Bulls Gap United Methodist Church or Holston United Methodist Home for Children.
