David H. Moody, age 52, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Morristown Hamblen Health Care surrounded by his family. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Noeton Primitive Baptist Church.

David is preceded in death by his mother; Peggy Overbay Howerton and stepfather; Eric Howerton and his grandparents; Jake Overbay and Edith Overbay Jones, and Paul and Wawona Moody.

He is survived by his children; Jacob and Bridgett Moody, granddaughter; Shelbi, brother; Jason (Lisa) Moody, sister; Elizabeth, father; Harold (Sharon) Moody, aunts and uncles; Phyllis (Vernon) Whitt, Joyce (Jerry) Vineyard and Gail, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Noeton Primitive Baptist Church with Graveside service to follow. The body will lie in state from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Elder Lawrence Adams, Rev. Jerry Epperson, Rev. Fred Oliver and Elder Larry Atkins.
