Betty Carol Watkins, age 83, went to be with her Lord on May 22, 2023 in her Talbott home surrounded by her family after a battle with dementia related illness.

Betty has been a long-time member of Alpha Baptist Church and will forever be known as a Sunday School teacher who loved The Lord and loved to study and teach His Word.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Ruby Mullins, brother, Mark Mullins and son-in-law, Marlon Morelock. Betty is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years, Blythe Watkins, her children, Michael (Jayne) Watkins, Jeanie Morelock and April (Jeff) Hayes; grandchildren, Maria (Kris) Corliss, Chellie (Justin) Keaton, Laurel (Timothy) Johnson, Victoria (Taylor) Floyd, Aubrey Hayes, Keaton Hayes, Isabella Hayes, Gideon Hayes and Evangeline Hayes; great-grandchildren, Kamryn Corliss, Gia Waggoner, Bella Keaton, Roman Corliss, Loftan Corliss and River Keaton, and brothers, Tom Mullins and Roger Mullins, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at Alpha Baptist Church, 245 St. John’s Rd. Morristown, TN 37814. A funeral service will follow at 7pm. Family and friends will meet Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 2pm in Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a graveside service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Alpha Baptist Church.
