Gladys Ann Corbett Underwood, age 89 of Jefferson City, TN passed away on May 10, 2023 peacefully in her own home.

She was born on March 12, 1934, to Roy Franklin Corbett and Beulah Layman Corbett. Ann was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City.

She retired from Milligan Clinic after 38 years of service to many local physicians. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She lived her entire life in service to others never wanting to be served herself. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking and was well known for making the best pumpkin pies in the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beulah Corbett; her brothers, James L. Corbett and Roy Gene Corbett, and sister, Geri Smith.

Ann is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas E Underwood; children, Jon (Dawn) Underwood, and Beth (Pete) Higgs; also, her grandchildren, April (Jessie) Jones, Sarah (Christopher) Bradley, Jeffery (Melanie) Higgs, Joseph (Kelley) Higgs, Abreigh (Brody) Nance, and Bryton Underwood; great-grandchildren, Samantha Gorghis, Logan Jones, Wesley Bradley, Liam Jones, and Lincoln Bradley who will arrive very soon; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Covenant Hospice for an outstanding show of support in her last days. A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
