Clarence Raymond Short, age 89, of Morristown, passed away on Sunday June 4, 2023 at Morristown Hamblen Health Care Systems. He was a retired jack – of – all trades having built and remodeled houses, installed carpet, hardwood, wallpaper, plumbing and electrical work. He was a long time member of Talbott Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Shelvie (Eller) Short; parents, Danie and Sarah Short; sisters, Margaret Clevenger , and Shirley Newman; and brothers, Clay, Bill, Max, Joe, and Charles. He is survived by his children, Darrell Short, Reneau (Kevin) Bogle, and Regina (Scott Southerland) Short; grandchildren, Cory Short, Austin Short, and Kendyl Bogle; step – grandchildren, Dylann (Devaughn) Stanbery, and Jayden Bogle; and step – great grandchildren, Peyton Jording, and Lydia Griffith; and honorary granddaughter, Delisa Carter – Webb; sister, Alice Harville; and brother Jim Short. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service on Monday June 12, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wade McCullough officiating.
