After many years of research, planning, and construction, the City is proud to officially present Morristown Landing to the community.

Morristown Landing is the City’s new Recreation and Event Center. The 115,000 square foot facility includes an aquatics center, basketball complex, walking path, fitness center, meeting & event space and more.

The facility has been open to the public since March 2023. Many have already taken advantage of the modern community amenity and have signed up for membership. Sports tournaments, special events, fitness classes, and swimming lessons are already underway.

On Saturday, June 17, the City, together with the staff of the Morristown Landing, will host a special Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting event for the community, according to a press release issued by the City of Morristown.

The Landing will be open, at no cost, to the general public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors can enjoy all the facility has to offer, along with bounce houses, facepainting, prize giveaways, and more.

A presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the grand foyer just inside the main entrance to the Landing, which is located at 4355 Durham Landing Rd.

The public is invited to the ribbon cutting as well as the activities throughout the event.

“It will be a great opportunity for families to come explore this amazing new amenity – the Morristown Landing,” city officials said.
