Georgia Ballard, 83, of Morristown, passed away June 17, 2023 at Hamblen Health Care in Morristown.

She was a member of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church. She loved to cook and did that as an occupation for many years. She also liked to sew as a hobby to pass the time. She was very active in the seniors’ center, were she played bingo, and scrabble with her friend Jennie.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene (Buddy) Ballard, parents Will and Mossie Willis. Her brothers Roy, Lewis, Johnny and William, sisters Lillie, Lizzie and Rosie.

She is survived by her sons Ralph (Helen) Ballard and Michael Scott Ballard and special friend Rachel Webb; sister Lucille Harris; grandchildren Jessica Eldridge, Rhonda Mitchell, Tommy Moore, and special granddaughter Cierra LaShae Ballard; great grandchildren Samantha Tilson, Cristian Eldridge, Elizabeth Coward, Carson Moore, and Journey Moore.

Family will receive friends Wednesday June 21 from 5 to 7pm. with a 7pm. service, Brian Blair officiating. Burial will be Thursday 1pm. At Hamblen Memory Gardens. Family and friends will gather at Mayes Mortuary at 12pm. to go in procession to the cemetery.
