Rogers Petroleum recently celebrated a 40 year anniversary with long standing employee Scott Holbert.
Holbert is a life-long resident of Morristown who attended the Boys and Girls Club in his youth. He first started at Rogers Petroleum at the ripe old age of 17 years old and has been a faithful employee to the company ever since. His goal is to make it 50 years.
When Holbert first began as a young teenager he worked in the warehouse. When he was old enough to acquire his license, he began driving a transport truck and continues to drive for the company today serving an area within 250 miles of Knoxville.
Operations Manager Frank Rhoades spoke highly of Holbert and his willingness to go above and beyond to help others within the company, Rhoades says Holbert is the last remaining original employees from when Rogers Petroleum first started in 1982.
“He’s been here longer than anybody else, Scott has lasted longer than any other employee at Rogers Petroleum including the original owner, Don Rogers.” Rhoades said.
The 40-year anniversary celebration was held on June 6th and was a surprise to Holbert after his shift at the end of the day. Over 40 employees and family members were in attendance to show their support and appreciation, including the company owner Chris Liposky and President, John Yeager.
Rhoades expressed what a special celebration this was and how much Rogers Petroleum appreciates Holbert’s service to the company, “He is a top-notch high-quality individual, from helping other people to helping the company, he’s a good family man and just an all-around good guy. We really appreciate him and we appreciate him being on our team.” Rhoades said.
