On Saturday, July 22 Bulls Gap community members’ newly-formed food pantry will hold its grand opening.

The hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The location is between the Archie Campbell House and the Bulls Gap City Hall.

The 501c3 non-profit group was formed earlier this year by interested community and local church members of the Bulls Gap area.

“Our mission statement is ‘Sharing God’s Abundance with Food and Faith.’” Organizers said in a release. “Our purpose is to help people going through tough times by providing a food ministry program.”

The Pantry’s service area will include Bulls Gap City, Whitesburg, Mohawk, McDonald, St. Clair and other nearby communities of this area as well as the 37711 zip code area.

“We are always looking for volunteers to help out in this food ministry program,” organizer said. “Join our group and become a volunteer.”
