Dorothy “Dot” Purkey Holt, 64, went to her heavenly home on July 10th, 2023.

She showed love to everyone she met. She had a special love for animals and could never say no to a fur baby in need of a home. They will all miss her.

Dot is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Purkey; sisters, Wanda Purkey, Shirley Ward, and Ann Williams; brothers, Kenneth Purkey, Dewey Purkey, and Hugh Purkey.

Dot is survived by her loving husband, Ruble Holt; son, Robert Bull; step-son, Leon Holt; step-daughter, Sammy Lois Harbin of Morristown; sisters, Gail Holt. Sue Bryan of Morristown, and Gerldine Sams of Greenville; and brother, Dale Purkey of Bean Station.

Dot was an employee of Morristown-Hamblen Hospital where she worked in the Labor and Delivery department as a housekeeper.

Graveside services will take place at Centerview Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, July 14th, 2023 at 1pm.

The cemetery is located right off of HWY 160 in Bybee, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for attendees to bring a single rose to the graveside.
