Leibert Dwight “Hippy” Hopkins, age 79, of White Pine, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023 at his residence.

He was the son of Pauline and Grover Hopkins. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in December, 1965 and served two tours in South Asia and Vietnam. He was a life-long truck driver for forty-one years.

He is survived by his children, Steve, Aaron, and Charlie Hopkins; grandchildren, Taylor and Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Maddie and Jackson.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 1st at Westside Chapel Funeral Home.

Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd at East Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery in Knoxville for military graveside services.
