Louis John De Marco went home to be with our Lord and savior on Monday August 14, 2023, at Newport Medical Center.

He was born April 2, 1949, in Washington DC.

Louis was the son of the late Louis and DeVota De Marco. In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his son Gregory De Marco

Louis enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1966. He attained the rank of Sargent. As part of this service, Louis served in Vietnam receiving two purple hearts, Naval Achievement medal along with other medals. He was Honorably discharged in 1970.

Louis went on to work for the Department of Defense as a technical engineer. Louis retired after 26 years of total service.

After retirement Louis studied and received a degree biblical study from The Institute of Jewish-Christian studies. Louis enjoyed studying the Bible and listening to Classical and Christmas music.

In October of 1992 Louis achieved his Black belt in Taekwondo from JH Kim Taekwondo Institute

Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Lorraine De Marco; daughter, Danielle Webber and her husband Eric; son, Joshua De Marco his wife Heather; two sisters, Theressa LaSov and Devota Rae De Marco and her husband Bruce; three grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander and Joshua Jr.; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family of Louis John De Marco will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Monday, August 21, 2023, at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City.

The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Daniel Rogers officiating. A graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. The Veterans Honor Guard DAV #39 will accord military honors.

Minister, family, and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am Tuesday.
