Earlier today, Appalachian Electric Cooperative’s power line fell onto a Morristown Utilities’ Distribution Line on a shared double circuit near Bellwood Road, according to Jody Wigington, general manager and CEO.

The incident caused more than 1,200 MU customers to be without power for approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes. The restoration process took longer than usual due to the wires becoming wielded together when the two collided.
