Following several recent announcements by TVA, Morristown Utilities, at its August 29 Board Meeting, made several changes to the MU power contract with TVA.

First, MU approved an expanded flexibility agreement which will help enable renewable generation by MU for expected cost savings to MU customers.

Second, MU acknowledged TVA’s recent announcement of wholesale rate increases effective October 1, 2023 and will pass through these changes to customers affecting all rate classes.

In implementing the TVA changes, MU will not increase its current net revenues.
