Velma Baker, age 81, went to be with the Lord February 19, 2025. Velma had a deep love for Jesus.  She enjoyed any and all types of crafts, and was an avid animal lover.

She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Donald Baker Selby, Jr.; daughter, Donna Smith; father, Harvey Schwartzbeck; sisters, Bonnie Burleson and Darlene Nentwig; and uncle, Charlie. She is survived by loving husband, Ron Baker; daughters, Melisa (Abbe), Danielle (Jay), Karen, and Jennifer; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Baer, brother, Alton (Tip) Schwartzbeck; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Johnson City Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1910 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601.
