NSDAR Doak Chapter to feature Barner Thursday

The Samuel Doak Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet on Thursday, February 26, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Morristown’s main building in the classroom located next to the gym.

Travis Barner will be speaking on “Women’s Heart Health.” Barner currently serves as both Cath Lab Manager and Emergency Department Manager, focusing on team development and high-quality patient care at Covenant Health Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

Barner has worked in emergency nursing since graduating in 2017, spending nearly a decade in the Emergency Department.

He has served as a trauma and resuscitation educator, teaching courses such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Stop the Bleed.

Before entering healthcare, he spent time serving as a missionary in Honduras.

He and his wife have been together for nearly 13 years, will celebrate seven years of marriage this year, and are expecting their first son in May.
