Morristown West’s girls dropped another heartbreaker on Wednesday night, falling 62-59 to Science Hill in overtime.

Despite leading 33-19 at the half, the Lady Trojans couldn’t find the offense in the second half, begin outscored by the same margin and scoring just four points in the fourth quarter.

However, it wasn’t a lost performance as Kinleigh Holt drained six threes in a career-high 27-point performance.

Holt poured in four threes in the first quarter alone.

Jhaniya Mitchell returned from an ankle injury in the loss but was still limited and scored just seven points. Haven Simpson was West’s only other double-digit scorer with 12.

West will look to rebound on Friday at Powell after Thursday’s game against West Ridge was canceled.
