Unicoi County 15, Morristown East 4

Unicoi County put in eight runs in the top of the seventh to take a 15-4 win over East on Friday.

After falling behind 5-0, Ally Daniels got East started with a solo shot in the bottom of the third, and Paige Horner homered to left for a three-run blast in the bottom of the sixth to get it to 7-4.

However, Unicoi had a three-run homer to open the top of the seventh, followed by a grand slam.

Jefferson County 13, Bearden 11

The Lady Patriots pulled off a four-run comeback to take down Bearden 13-11. Bearden scored nine runs in the first three innings before Kaycee Morgan came through in relief with 5.2 one-run innings and struck out five to earn the win. Kayli Reece hit a pair of triples, and Kenzli Trent homered, while Bella Watson collected four hits in the win.

Lakeway Christian 2, First Baptist Academy 1

Ashley Blackburn recorded nine strikeouts as the Lakeway Christian Lady Lions picked up their first win of the season on Friday, downing First Baptist Academy 2-1. Both of the Lady Lions runs came on a McKinley Grubb two-run single.

Lakeway Christian 9, First Baptist Academy 2

LCA recorded a second victory on the day as they downed FBA 9-2 behind a seven-run fourth inning. Birdie Russell and McKinley Grubb had doubles for LCA and Ashley Blackburn claimed the win in the circle as she had seven strikeouts and only one walk for the Lady Lions. LCA will play at Anderson County on Tuesday.
