Elizabeth A. (Stickler) Bridges, age 86, of Morristown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026.

Elizabeth was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Julia (Brown) and David Stickler, Sr. As a young girl, she gave her life to the Lord at First Presbyterian Church in South Bend, and her faith remained a guiding light throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Alpha Baptist Church in Morristown where she was known and loved as a faithful prayer warrior.

Elizabeth dedicated 25 years of service to AT&T, working as a Senior Operations Clerk before retiring in 1995.

The following year, she made her home in Morristown. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—camping, baking, spending time outdoors, and tending to her yard. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every moment spent watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Bridges; her parents; her brothers, Charles Stickler and Robert Stickler; and her brother-in-law, Glenn Curtis.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughter, Vickie (Clyde) Lancaster; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary (Kayla) Lancaster and Maci (Michael) Woods; and her precious great-grandchildren, Eliza Woods and Fischer Lancaster, all of Morristown. She is also survived by her sister, Jacque Curtis of South Bend, IN; sisters-in-law, Wanita Stickler of Edwardsburg, MI, and Christine Martin of Pekin, IL; and her brothers, Richard, James, and David Stickler, Jr.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the deep love she poured into her family.

Elizabeth has been cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
