Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating the death of a Bulls Gap man as a suspicious event.

According a release from Hawkins County Sheriff Ronnie Lawson, HCSO deputies were called to a Ridge Road residence Sunday. A man identified as Claude Taylor, 55, was found unresponsive in the floor of the residence and confirmed dead at the scene.

Deputies are considering the death suspicious with Taylor’s family notified. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been requested for assistance in the ongoing investigation.

No suspects had been identified in the case with preliminary information indicating that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community. No further details will be released at this time.
