No students injured after car struck Hamblen County Bus
No students or staff members were injured when a car hit a Hamblen County bus head-on Thursday morning, according to officials.
The bus was stationary and in a turn lane at the corner of West Andrew Johnson Highway and Economy Road when the driver of the sedan travelled through the intersection and hit the bus head on.
Superintendent of Hamblen County Schools Arnold Bunch said he is thankful for the rapid, professional response of local emergency agencies. He also applauded their thoroughness, which he said highlights the strength of the partnerships that help protect staff and students.
The condition of the drive is not yet available.
