Alleged Hawkins rapist, subject of TBI Most Wanted Alert, found dead

A man wanted by Hawkins County authorities who was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Most Wanted list earlier this week was found dead Wednesday.

Michael Dean Marrison, 41, was wanted by the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Rape, Incest and Tampering With Evidence.

The TBI confirmed Wednesday that Marrison had been found dead, although no location was given to where he was found.

According to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office, Marrison’s last known location was in the Lynn Garden area of Kingsport.

A reward of up to $2,500 was being offered for information that would have led to his capture.
