Over a hundred kids were running around Morristown West’s practice field on Saturday with nothing but smiles and joys on their faces.
The football coaches and high school players showed that same excitement and joy as they worked on football drills with the kids.
Saturday was a chance for kids from first to eighth grade to take the opportunity of learning some football techniques and fundamentals from the coaches and players of the Trojans. The Camp of Champions was a replica of what an intense West football practice looked like.
“We wanted to take the opportunity to give back to our community and give back to the youth,” West’s coach Alvin Sanders said. “We wanted to share our enthusiasm of the game with the kids and teach them more about the game of football.”
Sanders and his crew were pleased with the turnout of kids and were happy to be a part of a great football event in the Lakeway Area.
