Short rolls to Little League Home Run Derby title

Before helping the Marlins claim the Little League City Championship, Riley Short had already put on a show. Short, left, turned in possibly the best performance in the history of the event hosted by the Morristown Parks and Recreation Department, slugging numerous balls to the adjacent parking lot next to Tucker-Frazier Field and easily winning the Little League Home Run Derby with 15 home runs. Gavin Mitchell placed second with 6 home runs while Paxton Seal smacked 3 with Talan Kilgore and Trevyn Beam hammering 1 each. Pictured with Short is MPRD athletics coordinator Casey Smith.
