Alpha Elementary got 14 points from Uriogah Marsing to take down Whitesburg 36-12 Monday night in the Virgil Leonard/Lion’s Club boys basketball tournament at Manley Elementary.
Deeyan Trent and Christian Evans scored six apiece for Alpha as Bryson Whaley added four. Abraham Archer and Thomas Angeles had two points each and Keaton Brevy contributed one. For Whitesburg, Cooper Blevens and Josiah Dawson each scored six points.
Manley got a double-digit scoring output from Ever Molzon in a 35-10 victory over Hillcrest. Skylar Johnson had eight points, with Noah Smith, Ryder Smith and Seth Turner all putting in four points apiece. Dalton Misenheimer and Hayden Wild scored two each. Hillcrest got six points from Jose Barboza and two apiece from Kel Fugate and Eli Talley.
John Hay held off West Elementary 18-9 thanks to 12 points from Tucker Wyatt. Anderson Noe contributed four points and Myles Wofford had two. Kammi Isom scored four for West Elementary with Camden Dailey and Ryan Caldwell scoring two each.
Russellville outdueled Fairview 33-7, getting 10 points from Paxton Holt. Braydon Smith put in six points and Aaron Carpenter had four. Dylan Maltba, Andrew Parsons, Hudson Morrison, Lucas Johns and Elijah Ramsey all got in on the scoring, each sinking two apice. Dalton Vonnatter contributed one point.
Fairview got four points from Jaden Colonna and three from Leo Hull.
