HARRIMAN, TN – Following an early season loss to Roane State, Walters State volleyball coach Megan Blaylock said her team needed to learn how to fight and close out matches.
After the first two sets Thursday night at Michael R. Reed Gymnasium, it looked as though Morristown East’s chances of a perfect district volleyball season were practically non-existent as cross-town rival West had dominated both sets, winning each by 25-13.

GREENEVILLE – A windy and rainy day greeted golfers at the District 2-AA golf tournament Monday morning at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville.

JEFFERSON CITY—Carson-Newman’s offensive struggles continued on Saturday as 16th-ranked Wingate rolled to a 25-3 victory over the Eagles at Burke-Tarr Stadium in a game that was delayed 98 minutes by lightning late in the third quarter.
Jefferson County and Morristown East squared off on Friday. It was the two rivals’ first meeting since 2019, and both teams had something to prove. Jeff County won the game by a breathable margin, 28-12.
