Fun for all on the Fourth

There will be plenty of activities and concessions at the Fourth of July Celebration, presented by the Terry Law Firm.

The largest activity, of course, will be the fireworks display, which will start at 9:45 p.m.

Be in store for several minutes of explosions over Cherokee Park that will light up the night sky in red, white, blue and yellow across Cherokee Lake.

Food trucks will be on site and the Morristown Pediatric Dentistry Kids Zone will also be on hand this year again with inflatables and other fun activities for children to play on.

The largest entertainment will be the bands Basketcase, which plays alternative music, and All My Rowdy Friends, which is a Hank Williams Jr. Tribute band.

Vendors for the event include P&J Concession, Smoking Pig BBQ, Big Daddy’s BBQ, Raspadas Cancun, In/Out Pizza and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

So, there will be plenty of barbecue, pizza, Mexican and ice cream on hand for the thousands who will be attending the event.

Sponsors for the event include Hale Construction, Inc., MUS FiberNet, Lakeway Title, MAHLE, CMG Financial, South Marketing Group, Texas Roadhouse, Crye-Leike Lakeway Real Estate and the Citizen Tribune.

Food City is sponsoring the band entertainment for the event.

Texas Roadhouse will be providing food for the bands, as well as for volunteers.

Gates will open for the event at 4 p.m.
