Zane L Sartain

Zane L Sartain, 86, of White Pine, went to his heavenly home Monday, October 26, 2020. He was a member of Nina Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran and served on the USS Essex. He was retired from Magnavox and an avid farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Estamae Sartain; sister, Vivian Owens; and brother, DP Sartain.

Zane is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Sartain; son, David L. Sartain; daughters, Kathy Larsen and Robin (David) Rector; grandchildren, Cecil Sartain, Haley Sartain, Zane (Cale) Messamore, Callie (Michael Davis) Relford, Amanda Rector, Dylan (Whitney) Rector, Hanna Larsen, and Geordie (Leslie) Larsen; great-grandchildren, Casey Relford, Camden Brock, Cayden Relford, Charlie, Cooper, Evie and Jeb Messamore, Timber and Dakota Seals, Ethan and Abygail Huertas and Nora Rector; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.

The family expresses a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice for all the wonderful care and support given to Zane and his family.

Friends may pay their respects 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., Thursday, October 29 at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held 3 p.m., Thursday in White Pine Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Norris officiating.

In consideration of the health and safety of all those attending the services, Farrar Funeral Home strongly encourages all CDC guidelines be followed, including the use of facemasks.
