Terry Yeary, 71, of Blaine, born March 30, 1950, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family at his side.

Terry served as a devoted deacon, Sunday school teacher and faithful member of Toney’s Chapel in Lowland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Obie and Inez Yeary; and a son-in-law, Kavet Cooks Sr.

Terry is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 47 years, Lethia M. Yeary; sons, James (Jennifer) Howell and Paul Howell; daughter, LaShea Cooks (William Sloan); godson, Spencer James; siblings, Rosa Fair, Conrad Yeary, Verna Wells, Sharon (Clarence) Williams, Patricia Yeary, Elisha (Teresa) Yeary, Obie Yeary Jr., David Yeary, Robyn (Therence) Pickett and Antonio Yeary; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family expresses their gratitude to Avalon Hospice Service for their support and care. A special thank you to the nurses, Miranda and Allison, for their love, kindness and empathy shown to our family in our time of need.

The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday April 17 in the chapel of Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Jones and Elder J.W. Dukes officiating the services. The Interment will be at the Yeary Cemetery in Lowland.
