Scott Jason Story

Scott Jason Story, 45, entered into eternity Monday, November 16, 2020 from his home in Rutledge. Jason was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a parts manager for Worldwide Equipment with a total of 15-plus years in the trucking industry. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Jason was an avid fisherman who loved to be on the water. He loved his trucks and could always be seen tinkering and working on them. Jason loved his family and would do anything he could to make them smile.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Robie Story; and brother, Michael Story.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly six years, Melissa Mullins Story, of the home; his daughter, Ashlee Rutherford of Morristown; sons, Ben (Makenzie) Rutherford of Wise, Virginia, and Dale Rutherford of Pound, Virginia; nephews, Brandon Story and Corey Story; great-niece and nephew, Amelia and Oliver Story; mother, Lucille Story; brother, Robbie Story; and a host of friends and loved ones to cherish his memory.

The family will receive friends 4 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 25 at Peace Freewill Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Chris Dotson officiating.
