Roger Allen Greene II, 46, born April, 28, 1973, departed this life June 14, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at Johnson City Medical Center.

Allen was saved at a young age and was a member of Sandy Springs Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Stanley and Peggy Mathis; uncle, Stanley “Bug” Mathis; and nephew, Geoffrey Hannah.

He is survived by his mother, Bathsheba Mathis of Sneedville; children, Kolby and Austin Greene and Kaitlyn Wagner; mother of his children, Christy Russell; sisters, Angela (Mark) Seal of Rogersville and Renata (Paul) Hannah of Morristown; brother, Tim Greene; nieces and nephews, Ashtyn, Zachary and Natalie Hannah, Caleb Bryant and Solomon Greene; special aunt, Pamela Burchett of Sneedville; cousins, Ben Burchett, Lucas (Amber) Burchett, Melanie (Chris) Ailey, Tatum and Dominic Ailey, who called him Uncle Allen; and a host of friends too many to mention.

The family will receive friends 6 – 9 p.m., Monday, June 17 at McNeil Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 18 in the funeral home chapel with the Revs. Earl Lee King and David Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Harrison Burke Cemetery

Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Seal, Gleason Johnson, Chris Ailey, Ben Burchett, Lucas Burchett and Allen Johnson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kolby Greene, Austin Greene, Caleb Bryant, Paul Hannah and Mark Seal.
