She had a selfless heart and enjoyed serving others. She loved gardening and watching her flowers grow, along with watching the birds and enjoying nature. She loved to read, especially her Bible, and she enjoyed cooking, quilting, and sewing. She was a member of Lakeshore Missionary Baptist Church, and most recently attended New Prospect Baptist Church.

Her parents, Harrison and Lucy Spence, and all of her siblings preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sons, Darrell Hodge and Gerald Hodge (Debbie Clevenger); daughters, Kathy Smith and Deborah Young; grandchildren: Diron Smith, Toby Smith, and Rachael Smith, Logan Young (Ale and Isabella), Jade Hodge, Annika Hodge, and Dusty (Candice) Hodge; great-grandson, Zane Hodge; as well as nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends.
