Patricia “Pat” Waggoner on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 went to be with the Lord at the age of 65 years young. Pat was a FIGHTER… she battled many health issues in her lifetime including multiple treatments for CLL/ SLL Cancer, several major surgeries, and finally a Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor. She passed away peacefully at her home in Russellville, TN, surrounded by family and embraced by her beloved children.
Pat was a proud member of the Morristown Utility System family and retired after 15 years of service as a Database Administrator. She was a member of Three Springs Baptist Church and served as Chairman for the Relay for Life at MUS. She graduated from WSCC with an Associates degree. Pat was a special lady who lived for her grandkids, was passionate about her family and friends, her charity work, and anything involving Bon Jovi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Turner and special aunt, Wilma Smith.
Pat is survived by her son, Major Waggoner; daughter, Kayla (Kevin) Carper; grandchildren, Gia Waggoner, Baylor Cool, Jaxon Carper; sisters, Diana Lane, Peggy Ruth (Johnny) Gregg; brother, George Michael (Lorraine) Turner; and many nieces and nephews of whom were each very close to her. Pat was definitely “one of a kind” and had the ability to make a lifelong impact on everyone she met.
Her kids would like to express their sincerest gratitude to those family members who have helped in caring for Pat at home the past few months as well as her Team of Doctors including Dr. Sudarshan Doddabele, Dr. John Anderson, and Dr. Peter Sutherland. They’d also like to thank the entire MUS family for all the love and support. Special thanks to Allen Funeral Home for assisting the family with arrangements.
A Celebration of Life event is planned for Friday, June 11, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church. There will be a special memorial service in the sanctuary beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Friends and family are invited to continue the celebration with snacks and drinks at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
