Neverda Goins M. Crum

Neverda Goins M. Crum, 86, made Heaven her eternal home Thursday, January 7, 2021.

She was the fifth of 11 children born to her late parents, Elder James H. Boseman and Snolabel Agnew Boseman in Starr, South Carolina. The family moved from Belton, South Carolina to Knoxville, where she was educated. She later moved to Morristown, where she joined in holy matrimony to Robert “Duney” Goins Jr. Nine children were born to their union.

After his untimely death, she later married the late Marvin Marshall. After his death, she was married to the late Luchion Crum.

Mother Crum was saved at an early age, totally living a committed life to Christ. She was a gifted vocalist, church pianist, choir president, and Sunday school teacher. She loved people. She retired from General Electric in Morristown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; four brothers; and three children, Bobby, Jean, and Larry.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Doreatha (Gaylon) Jones, Robin Goins, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael (Tina) Goins of Knoxville, Pastor James (Tammy) Goins, Daniel Goins, and Jonathan Scott Goins, all of Morristown; five grandchildren, James Jr., Stephen, Elan, Dorian, and Courtland; sisters, Carolyn Jones of Hazelcrest, Illinois, Dorothy (Reginald) Catherine of Lithonia, Georgia, and Mildred (Ary) Jones of Knoxville; aunt, Eunice Agnew of Belton, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; the Abundant Life Church family; and many close friends.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m., Thursday, January 14 with a celebration of her life to follow at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home. The burial will follow at the City Cemetery.
