Mary M. Blankenship, 91, of Morristown passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at Wellington Manor in Newport. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Blankenship; parents, Henry and Florence Chapman; brothers, Leige, Howard, and Charles Chapman; sisters, Faye Dotson, Quilla Prater, Marie Sutton, and Julia Gooslin; and sons, Henry, David, and Larry Blankenship.

Survivors include her sister, Polly Clark; son, Terry (Brenda) Blankenship; daughters, Jean (Craig) Beattie, Beverly (Buddy) Sartin, Sherry (James) Taylor, and Jennifer (Dave) Snider; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Wellington Manor for their excellent care and all their love and support.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, January 13 at Alder Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7p.m. with Pastor Ray Pratt officiating. Graveside services will take place 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 14 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
