Larry Lee Penrod, 68, of Rutledge, formerly of Buffalo, New York, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 12, 2021. He served in the US Army and did two tours in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Penrod; and brother, Al Penrod.

Survivors include his wife, Tawanna “Toni” Penrod; children, Travis Penrod and Kathleen (Jason) Schroeder; stepchildren, Larry (Frances) Acker, Joseph (Stephanie) Acker, Dale (Janelle) Acker, Nekita Baker and Antissa Riley; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren with two on the way; siblings, James (Carol) Penrod, Gary (Debbie) Penrod, Randy Penrod and Robin (Mark) McDermick; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bruce Myers and Scott D’Orazio.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday, June 17 in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Paul Chapman officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m., Friday, June 18 in Mountain Home National Cemetery for a 10 a.m. graveside service at 10:00. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #5266.
