John Bowlin, 88, of Mooresburg went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 13, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George ‘Melvin’ and Myrtle Gilliam Bowlin; wife, Beulah Bowlin; and daughters, Patricia Richards and Virginia Lawson.

He retired from Clayton Homes and enjoyed, farming, playing the guitar, listening to music, enjoying life and being outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, true friend, and neighbor to many.

Survivors include his daughters, Beulah Drinnon and late husband Roger, Delphia Mitchell, Alma Gilliam and husband Buck, and Kathy Cook and husband Danny; sons, James Bowlin and wife JoAnn, and Lonnie Bowlin and wife Denise; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 16, at Midway Independent Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. John Richards, Jr. and Rev. Jamey Burton officiating. The graveside service will follow in Lovin Cemetery.
